Digital Green Competences Framework

The Digital Green Competences (DGC) framework is modelled on the following goals: (1) Foster environmental awareness; (2) Educate teachers and young people towards ecological learning spaces; (3) Stimulate knowledge and appreciation of plants; and (4) Explore plant data in classrooms and learning spaces. Goals are synthesised into areas of applicability and purviews in teaching/learning scenarios. Each generic focal area of attention (i.e., plants, humans, technology, learning) is divided into subsets that describe knowledge and competences relevant to this particular expertise that we try to foster, as elaborated in Appendix and illustrated in the figure below. There is no obligation to fulfil all the below goals, rather, they can be used as a guide for designing appropriate relevant learning activities which can be evaluated afterwards. [Read more]
